Homemade sloppy joe sandwiches are one of the few things that everyone in my family loves, and I love the idea of serving them as grilled cheese sandwiches rather than on hamburger buns. Sloppy joe meat freezes wonderfully so you can easily make a double batch and freeze half for a second meal. Add some fries or chips on the side, and you’ve got an easy lunch or dinner!

I love Monte Cristo sandwiches, and when I saw this baked version on Pinterest, I quickly added it to our meal plan! We actually had it last night, and it was a hit with the combination of the flavorful black forest ham, mild Swiss cheese and the sweetness of the pastry and powdered sugar, plus the sandwiches themselves were quick and easy to make.
