Each week here at Life Your Way, we focus on one five-day challenge. The challenges will take place on a different channel each week and include small, measurable goals to help you improve your life.
This week’s challenge is to spice up your menu.
I don’t know about you, but we get into the stereotypical rut where we’re eating the exact same things every week for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even snacks. Although it makes meal planning easy, it also makes mealtime kind of boring.
On Saturday, I mentioned Plan to Eat’s new group feature, which allows you to share recipes with other group members and spice up your family’s menu. Of course, you don’t have to use Plan to Eat to do this, though. If you keep a file of recipes you’d like to try (like the one I showed you in this short vlog) or a favorites folder on your computer, you might just need a reminder to browse through those that have caught your attention in the past and add 1 or 2 of them to each week’s menu plan.
Sometimes, the hardest part of meal planning is simply thinking of meal ideas, and keeping a list of your family’s favorites, old standbys and new recipes to try is a great way to eliminate the stress of that aspect.
Your challenge this week, should you choose to accept it, is to create a list of recipes to add to your meal rotation. Some of these might be meals your family knows and loves but don’t get made very often for whatever reason and others might be new recipes that you want to try.
